This year, Bord Bia is calling on the nation to celebrate its favourite vegetable, the potato, which is renowned for its taste, versatility and nutritional profile. The campaign will focus on returning to Ireland’s culinary roots by cooking traditional potato recipes in a modern way using an air fryer and tasty ingredient combinations that are sure to impress friends and family.
Our National Potato Day Ambassadors
Bord Bia has once again teamed up with Ireland’s air fryer cooking royalty duo, Karol and Gina Daly. This year, they will be hitting the streets of Dublin, interviewing the public and asking fun questions about their favourite ways to enjoy potatoes and their go-to potato recipes..
In addition to this, Karol and Gina recently partnered with The Boxty House in Temple Bar, under the expert guidance of owner and chef Pádraic Óg Gallagher, to reimagine classic potato dishes using an air fryer. Together, they explored the rich heritage of Irish potato recipes and demonstrated how these timeless dishes can be adapted to suit modern lifestyles.
